Joining a local branch is a great way to meet people, make friends and learn more about the craft of printing.
Our Branches
We have eleven branches across the UK. All branches run slightly differently but most will meet up at regular intervals and organise open days.
Our overseas branch exists for non-UK based members.
For those of us that can’t get to a local branch or who want to stay in touch with other members across the country, the online branch meets on Zoom every other month.

Can’t find a branch near you?
If you live in an area without a local branch we can help you set one up. It’s a really easy process which just involves filling in a couple of forms. Your first step is to find at least two other BPS members locally who want to form it with you and then just ‘get in touch’ and we will help you do the rest. Branches really run along their own format but all branch members must be members of the BPS.
What do branches do when they meet?
All branch meetings are open to all members of the Society. Members get together and discuss or try a particular printing topic, chat about most aspects of printing and generally give each other help and encouragement.
Often instead of holding a meeting, local branches will organise outside visits of interest to printers — to commercial printers, papermaking facilities etc — together with occasional social events like an annual dinner for members and their partners.
Non-members are welcome to attend one or two branch meetings before joining the BPS, and should contact the relevant branch secretary for details.
How do branches run?
Branches are run by their members as autonomous organisations; they have their own management committees, run their own programmes and are responsible for their own finances.
