About Our Branch
The Shropshire branch of the BPS currently has 20 members, some of whom live far beyond the county boundaries of Shropshire. We have members from as far away as Staffordshire, Birmingham and Machynlleth in West Wales. We produce a monthly PDF newsletter that is distributed to our members, and they are all welcome to contribute articles and ideas. If you’d like a copy, please get in touch.
When and How We Meet
We have Zoom meetings every other month to help us keep in touch given our wide geographical spread. On non-Zoom months we meet in a spacious pub in Shrewsbury and sometimes at members' printing spaces.
What Happens at Meetings
At our meetings we usually have an agenda to go through. We then add other business, then we discuss and display what everyone is currently printing, chat printing in general and plan future meetings and outings. Together we share our passion for letterpress and all things print, typography, printmaking, book design and digital technology. We are a friendly bunch.
