Platen Booklet
A 48 page booklet containing extracts from the ISPA Platen handbooks from the 1950s and 60s. This booklet contains many hints and tips for the printer, especially letterpress. ISPA (The International Small Printers' Association) was the forerunner of the British Printing Society.

There is also a PDF of the booklet made up of printers' pairs. The home PC user can print and bind their own booklet by first printing the odd numbered spreads (1, 3, 5, 7, etc), removing the paper and then printing the even numbered spreads (2, 4, 6, 8, etc) on the reverse of the corresponding sheets - spread 2 on the reverse of spread 1, spread 4 on the reverse of spread 3 etc. Adobe PDF Viewer allows you to print consecutive odd or even sheets.
