There are about 30 BPS members live in Essex or on the Essex side of
London, for logistic reasons it has become increasingly difficult to hold regular meetings.
However, there is a core of keen and active folk who get
together from time to time when we are able. We try to take our
printing roadshow to as many events around the county as possible. We
have some sort of display that leads to talks about the rich history
of involvement in printing in the county. We always have some
'hands-on' printing for children and 'big children' and are on the
look-out for new members.
We print a joint publication in which all local members of the Society
are invited to prepare a page or more and these have been very
enjoyable productions as well as winning for us the Society's Rosen
Award on several occasions. We send out a letter from time to time to
all Essex members to inform them of what we are planning to do.
Our active members have a wide experience within print, using a full
range of equipment and are ever keen to help new members with advice
and information when requested as well as the sourcing of equipment.
